Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnne Kymes was also one of the two most recent Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass and country musician as well as singer. She started working in the music business in the early years of her life. At the age 10 years old, she took part in local competitions and made her first album. In 1985 she was signed with Rounder Records. Her first solo album came out in 1987. The band invited her to join the group with whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album with them as a band in 1989.
