Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson (born April 14 in 1970) is a famous American singer, actress as well as a writer and director. Most famously, she is best known for her role on her role in the TV drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also directed, produced and starred in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle is her younger sister and is an artist. Benson went to the Reform Jewish synagogue while growing as a child. Her mother was a Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father is also Jewish. Benson is a performer featured in a variety of TV and film shows after Buffy finished up, including The Killing Jar. In the background Benson also used her talents as a writer to write The Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010, she also directed Drones.
